Dear Beloved Community,
As we reflect on our journey together, we are filled with immense gratitude and hope. Our Night at the Theater with Conrad A. Paningbigan’s Daryo’s All American Diner, where we shared stories, art, and visions for the future, was a beautiful reminder of how far we’ve come and the power of our collective voices. It also reminded us of the core of our mission: to foster collaboration, amplify diverse perspectives, and to stop hate and build a more connected and equitable world.
From our launch in 2021 to the recognition we received from Attorney General Rob Bonta, from Filipino Fiesta, and Filipino Community of Sacramento and Vicinity, from our two powerful campaigns, to the artists who shared their voices, we have truly achieved something remarkable. The the Laban Group, we have built a network of organizations and individuals, united by a love for our Filipino community and a shared commitment to community safety and equity. The road we’ve traveled has been filled with purpose, and every step we’ve taken has been centered in care—for our beloved community and for the future we’re still building together.
Our work is far from over. There are still lessons to learn, much work to do, and countless ways for us to continue fighting for justice and liberation. The love, creativity, and resilience of our community continues to drive us forward, and we know that the spirit of collaboration we’ve nurtured will live on.
Thank you for being a part of this journey. We will see you soon—together, we are far from finished.
Ingat palagi,
The Laban Group
