On Friday, Oct. 21, Everyday Impact Consulting (EIC) celebrated its 10-year anniversary by hosting the inaugural Impact Awards. In one of the evening’s highlights EIC Founder, Elaine Abelaye-Mateo, announced Vince A. Sales as the firm’s first Chief Executive Officer, beginning January 1, 2023. In his new role, Vince will lead the firm and chart out a new vision and implement expansion plans for EIC.
Over the last four years, Vince has served as a senior fund development consultant at EIC and is well-positioned for his new role. In addition to leading the firm’s fund development portfolio, Vince has conducted board recruitment and executive searches, overseen strategic planning for select clients, and currently serves as project lead for communications projects. Prior to joining EIC, Vince held several executive roles in higher education, most recently as Vice President for University Advancement and Executive Officer for Philanthropic Foundations at Sonoma State University and California State University, Sacramento, respectively. Early in his career, Vince led grassroots and community-based organizations and served on numerous nonprofit and philanthropic boards in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Sacramento region. “Vince possesses both the executive and community-centered experience, rooted in the values of racial equity and social justice, which will serve the firm well in its second decade,” added Elaine Abelaye-Mateo, EIC’s founder.
Founder and EIC owner, Elaine Abelaye-Mateo, will serve in a new role as the firm’s Founding Director starting on January 1, 2023. In this role, Elaine will maintain a portfolio of clients and focus on sharing her doctoral research in the area of multi-sector collaboration toward achieving social change.
Elaine and Vince will work closely, alongside the entire EIC team, to build on the firm’s strong foundation and set out a new vision toward realizing a more just and equitable future.
